The IPM-IMG Group has made major headway in its environmental policy by encouraging its companies - Marina Ibiza, Marina Port Ibiza, Marina Port Mahón, Marina Port de Mallorca, Marina Palma Cuarentena, Varadero Ibiza, and STP Shipyard Palma - to sign up to the United Nations Global Compact. Among other universal principles, this agreement sets out to promote support, commitment and initiatives to foster greater environmental and sustainability responsibility across the world.
In this line, the IPM-IMG Group is committed to fulfilling principles that are also aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as they call for joint action and are mutually beneficial. This means that all the IPM-IMG companies will continue to promote the activities and actions that they have been undertaking for years in their strategies, operations and corporate culture.
The marinas and repair yards of the IPM-IMG Group are passionately committed to upholding their environmental responsibility through the certifications that they currently hold, such as ISO 14001, EMAS Regulation, Carbon Footprint Register, Blue Flag, and IMCI 5 Stars. What's more, they will continue providing environmental training to their staff, promoting good practices among their customers and users on various channels, maintaining investment into new technologies, partnering with associations, entities and foundations, carrying out awareness-raising and citizen engagement activities, and increasing environmental investment into facilities, among other actions.
The IPM Group would like to encourage companies in the yachting industry to also align with these objectives and principles highlighted by the United Nations so that we can all achieve better results.
